Located in Rockwood, Ontario our farm sells grass-fed, pasture-raised beef that is a healthy food choice for your family. Grass-fed beef is rich in omega fatty acids (good fat), minerals and vitamins. The pasture-raised label indicates that our animals are healthy and happy as they spend most of their lives on the grass ranges as opposed to being in feedlots. We are also helping fight the climate crisis in two ways : (1) by growing our cattle on grass without using significant acres of land to grow corn and soya for cattle feed and (2) by using natural fertilization (cattle poop!) instead of artificial nitrogen fertilizers that have been shown to be one of the factors in the climate crisis.
Our duck and duck eggs are just as healthy for you and are raised free-range and on whole grain and are grass feed. Duck is especially high in Vitamin K and this helps significantly in maintaining bone health.

Cattle and grass have been in partnership since the dawn of time. Our pioneers raised cattle on wide open grass pastures with cattle selectively foraging to meet their dietary needs. Here at Walnut Hill we grow beef the same pioneer way with pasture grazing in the summer and hay in the winter. Our ducks are free range grazing and whole grain feed.
